Safety tips

My line of pottery has been tested in the dishwasher, microwave and oven.

Dishwasher

Keep rims of plates spaced away from another piece. In the cycle of the dishwasher, pieces may clank together and become chipped. For best long term care, hand wash.

Microwave

As you heat up a pot with food or liquid in it, it will become very hot. Ensure that you always use hot pads for safe removal. Just like any pot, commercially made or otherwise, after high heats and over long periods of time, pieces may crack and break. Just a note: I have used the same mug in the microwave for about five years and it has never cracked or broken.

Oven

Ensure that you place the cool or room temperature pot with food in it into the cool oven prior to preheating. If you were to place a cool or room temperature pot into a hot/preheated oven, you run the likely risk that the pot will break due to shock.
